Program Options at the Philadelphia International Music Festival

Early Audition Deadline: February 20, 2026. Audition fees will be waived for applicants who upload required audition materials on or before midnight, February 20, 2026. Symphony Orchestra

Open to all instrumental musicians ages 8-19

Three Levels: Senior (14-19), Young Artists' (11-13), and Junior (8-10)
Master classes and faculty recitals with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra
Weekly lesson(s) with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra
Optional chamber music program
Solo performance and competition opportunities
Conducting, Theory, Composition, Ear Training, Music History and other daily class electives
Festival-ending Grand Finale

Solo Performance Preparation

Daily solo performance class
Daily 30-minute workout sessions with assigned faculty accompanist

Master classes and faculty recitals with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra
Daily chamber music program
Multiple solo performance and competition opportunities

Viola Intensive Program

Open to violists ages 11 to 19

Open to violinists and cellists ages 14 - 19

Five-day performance segment held in historic Cremona, Italy (The City of Violins)
Three to four-day touring segment to include day trips to Venice, Milan, Bologna, and Verona
Three private lessons with members of our world-class faculty
Daily thirty-minute workouts with assigned faculty accompanist
Daily hour-long solo performance classes
Four-five hours of required daily private practice
Week-ending Grand Finale in one of Cremona's stunning performance halls
Family members invited to participate in "Family and Friends Tour" - which includes eight exciting tours in Northern Italy
