Philadelphia International Music Festival Winners' Corner

The Concerto Competition at the Philadelphia International Music Festival includes three age categories: 8-13, 14-17, 19 and above. First and second place winners of each category are awarded a $500 scholarship to PIMF, a permanent listing on PIMF’s “Winners’ Corner,” inclusion on the PIMF “Winners’ Circle” YouTube channel, and an invitation to perform in the PIMF Winners’ Recital the following year. The overall competition winner is awarded a $1000 scholarship to the following year’s festival and an opportunity to perform as soloist with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra, or other professional or community orchestra, the subsequent summer.

Recent Winner Highlights

Concerto Competition winner Miro Raj was featured on January 12th with Symphonicity, conducted by 
Daniel W. Boothe, during  their “Jurassic Journey” performance.

ABOUT MIRO RAJ

Miro Raj is an 11 year old violinist from the Philadelphia area. He is currently studying under Lee Snyder at The Settlement Music School. He is a Philadelphia Region Youth String Music (PRYSM) artist as well as a PIMF concerto competition winner.
