The Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) is a summer music program directed by Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violin of The Philadelphia Orchestra, offering student musicians from around the world the unique opportunity to spend up to four weeks immersed in music education and performance training with members of the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra.

Our outstanding summer music programs include: private lessons; master classes and faculty recitals with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra; daily orchestra, ensemble and chamber music rehearsals; daily course electives including: conducting, choir, composition, sight reading, music theory, ear training; ample solo performance and competition opportunities; Philadelphia’s Mann Music Center for a Philadelphia Orchestra outdoor concert, and more.

There are six program options for musicians ages 11-19: Symphony Orchestra, Solo Performance Preparation, Piano Studies, Chamber Music Intensive, College Audition Preparation, as well as the new Viola Intensive Program.

Philadelphia International Music Camp & Festival - In The News: Read recent news articles here.

Week of April 14, 2024: PIMF is still accepting auditions for all of our summer music programs (see descriptions below). As the festival is just months away, we make a point of sending acceptance letters at the earliest possible date - often within 48 hours of receiving audition materials. Those accepted will also receive a congratulatory telephone call from our Student & Family Liaison Director, Pamela Miller. Once a program is full - we post an announcement stating such on the corresponding program page, and perspective participants are placed on a Waiting List. If you do not see an announcement at the top of a program page - there is still time to audition/register.
