Each year, students from throughout the world attend our dynamic music programs on Philadelphia’s Historic Main Line, featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra. To date, our festivals have included young musicians from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Germany, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, St. Martin, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vietnam, and elsewhere.

We pride ourselves in tailor-made programs that work with each student musician or group providing them with broadened musicianship skills that last a lifetime. We offer custom packages for international groups traveling to the U.S. for attendance at PIMF, often including touring features as an additional option.

PIMF Custom Proposals include local tour destinations such as New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Ocean City, NJ (America’s Favorite Family Resort) and elsewhere.  University and college tours may also be arranged.

Frequently Asked Questions For International Groups

When do international groups arrive and depart?
International groups typically arrive one day prior to the start of the festival, and depart one day after the post-festival tours [varies with each group].

Are there any special activities for international students?
PIMF hosts International Dinners for all international students attending the Philadelphia International Music Festival. After-festival tours may also be arranged. Phone the office at (856) 875-6816 for details.  One of our most popular tour packages is a guided tour of Ivy League Schools including: Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University.  Tours of Philadelphia (with a stop at Curtis Institute of Music), New York City (with a stop at Julliard), and Washington D.C. (with a stop at American University) may also be arranged.

How do I get from the airport to PIMF?
PIMF will arrange pick-up and drop-off from either the Philadelphia International Airport or the JFK or La Guardia Airports in New York.

Are interpreters provided?
Yes. If an interpreter is needed, please let us know, and we will make arrangements.

Can parents stay on campus with their students during the festival?
Yes, parents are welcome to participate in all group packages.

Do groups staying on campus need to bring their own bedding?
A pillow and blanket are provided, but guests do need to bring their own sheets and pillowcases. These items may be purchased at the PIMF camp store for a fee.

Are there off-campus outings during the festival?
Yes. We arrange for travel to Ocean City, New Jersey (America’s Favorite Family Beach Resort) as well as to a Philadelphia Orchestra Concert at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
